Pat Friesen writes a very good column on copywriting (you’d expect that of a copywriter, wouldn’t you?) in Target Marketing. When recently sorting through my backlog of reading, I came across her article in the March 2009 issue on What every copywriter wants to know that only you can tell them. It’s an exceptionally thorough list of information that every business owner or product manager should provide a copywriter when assigning a job.
Having been in the copywriter’s seat often over the years, I can tell you that enthusiasm gets quelled fast when you have to pull teeth to get the information you need to do a stellar job. Pat’s list is a great guide for getting the best work possible from your copywriters.
