Today, another idea from one of Internet Retailer’s Hot 100 Retail Web Sites. Clothing company Free People’s site adds an interesting twist to the shopping experience. Product pages include not only the standard information you’d expect, but also consumer-generated wardrobe collections that feature the product being sold. Credit is given to each “stylist.”
I find Free People’s execution a bit confusing, but the idea is a good one, and applicable to the gardening industry. Why not invite customers to submit photos showing their favorite plant combinations? Not only will it engage your customers more, and give them an opportunity to show off their gardens, but it may help you sell more varieties!
